Our classes are generally non-syllabus ‘free-work’ classes where we aim to enable our students to be adaptable, technically strong dancers able to accomplish the many styles that are required of this area of dance in today’s world. Classes typically incorporate a mix of different genres including Street, Lyrical, Commercial Jazz, Musical Theatre and for the older student - Heel-shoe work. Beginner classes have a focus on fun and introduce movement ability and co-ordination in the genre, then the further level classes develop a deeper learning of technique; performance and musicality and also routines and Stretch/Conditioning work. An opportunity to prepare and enter for IDTA exam board Medal tests and Awards is offered for on an approximately yearly basis.
